Double Magazine Giveaway!

Well, you all know by now how much of a vintage nerd I am. I love to read (when I can sneak it in here and there these days hehe) and today I found a magazine dedicated to Doris Day. I picked one up for myself and one to giveaway to my great readers!

Now, it was put together by a magazine called Globe-they seem to be a gossipy magazine but the information seems to be spot on and its really very well put together. I have always wondered what happened to her especially since her ended her film career in the 1960's. It says she is living out her last days and that's where it leans toward being gossipy-who knows if that is true and so I leave that bit up in the air.

The second part of this giveaway is a copy of Vintage Life Magazine-February 2013. The issue I was in! I meant to get a copy away early but its been a super busy two months and a few heavy things have been going on-one I will share with you all very soon. Oh, and if you want me to sign this issue I would be happy to-just let me know!!

Bunny's Valentine's Giveaway!

I wanted to giveaway something extra special for Valentine's day! I discovered this incredible site called America in WWII. It has some amazing information and the magazines they have are the kind that every American should have in their possession. I say this from a vintage and  history standpoint. They have a wonderful way of telling the stories of that time without sounding like a boring textbook.

I cannot say enough about this site and about their magazines, which I hope to get my hands on some more because they have back issues!!!

This giveaway will only because for those who reside in the  U.S. I hope to have some more in the near future that would be open for everyone.

Bunny's Birthday Giveaway!

I love buttons! There...I said it! I loved going through my grandma's button stash that she of course told me not to touch..hehe But they smelled so good (they were vintage) and I loved looking at all the colors and shapes. When I began scrapbooking, one of my favorite embellishments were buttons.

So, when I found a seller on Etsy that sold jewelry made from vintage buttons I just leaped for joy! In yesterday's post I mentioned I wore a pair of button earrings. The ones I wore are right above and the pair you can win is right below!

What inspired you to begin making jewelry out of buttons?

My grandma inspired me. She sewed all of our clothes and had tons of buttons

How long does the process take you? Depending on what I am making it can be a few hours to a few days and I usually am or get inspired by a specific button

How big is your button collection?

I have about a dozen of those flat bead compartment containers ;)

1940's Style Snood Giveaway!
