The Bomb Girls at work!

Okay if you don't have Reelz Channel don't you fret! I don't have cable anymore so I watch my shows online-you can too! Just use google and you should find a few great links or even try Hulu.

The Cast of Bomb Girls; Meg Tilly, Jodi Balfour, Ali Liebert,
and Charlotte Hegele as the main cast.

This show profiles the lives of four women working in a Canadian munitions factory during World War II. The characters are well developed and the stories well written so it makes me even more excited to see it. The sets and wardrobes are stunning so we will have lots of eye candy too!

Here is a the trailer of "Bomb Girls":

Here is a look at authentic "Bomb Girls" from the 1940's with Mary Pickford:

  3. I just yesterday saw a commercial for this and set it up to tape on our DVR! I was worried it would be too soap-operaish, as I just can't really get into series like that, but I figured if nothing else it would be great to look at! :)

  8. I just watched a bunch of these episodes on YouTube earlier today. I think I missed some things in the episodes because some didn't flow quite right but it was the best I could find:) Overall, it was nice to watch them without commercials. Outfits awesome!! The one so-so comment I have is about the pin-up episode where she is just posing in a swim suit and she leaves feeling like she posed nude. Too funny!! There were a lot more risque photographs floating around in those days.

  10. Can you believe it, this is a wholly Canadian show, and yet it wasn't until a couple of weeks ago that I finally caught my first episode ever (I don't tend too watch too much TV, but that's hardly an excuse). I enjoyed it a fair bit, though I did think some of the "accents" they gave the some of the cast were more Victorian/Edwardian sounding (subtly British, that is), than most Canadians would have sounded like at the time. Over all though, I certainly liked it and look forward to catching future episodes.
