Well, you all know by now how much of a vintage nerd I am. I love to read (when I can sneak it in here and there these days hehe) and today I found a magazine dedicated to Doris Day. I picked one up for myself and one to giveaway to my great readers!
Now, it was put together by a magazine called Globe-they seem to be a gossipy magazine but the information seems to be spot on and its really very well put together. I have always wondered what happened to her especially since her ended her film career in the 1960's. It says she is living out her last days and that's where it leans toward being gossipy-who knows if that is true and so I leave that bit up in the air.
The second part of this giveaway is a copy of Vintage Life Magazine-February 2013. The issue I was in! I meant to get a copy away early but its been a super busy two months and a few heavy things have been going on-one I will share with you all very soon. Oh, and if you want me to sign this issue I would be happy to-just let me know!!
So, how about we split these magazines up for two giveaways! Many folks in Europe can get their hands on an issue of Vintage Life Magazine and many folks here in the states can get their hands on the Doris Day Issue from Globe Magazine.

Hello sweet Bunny, what a thoughtful, awesome giveaway, thank you very much for offering up these two magazines.
ReplyDeleteI'm a Google Friend Connect and Bloglovin' follower of your fabulous site. I'm your friendly neighbour to the north up here in Canada, and I'd absolutely love to win a copy of Vintage Life (I've never read one before).
Some of my favourite magazines from days gone by (especially the 40s and 50s) were Mademoiselle, Harper's Bazaar, Vogue, Seventeen, and Woman's Day.

Thank you sweets!!!! xox
DeleteIm entering for the Globe Magazine Issue on Doris Day as i am from Denmark. We do not have that kind of magazines here, too small a country i guess. But last year there was a festival about the 50s called Golden days and they made an magazine about all things 50s and thats my favourite at the moment.
ReplyDeleteYeah-so glad you joined in the fun! Thank you! xox
DeleteI am entering for the globe magazine as I am from the UK. My favorite magazine has to be Best of British http://www.bestofbritishmag.co.uk/. It covers loads of different stuff from the 30's through to the 60's. It also has different events from all over the uk. Its such a good monthly read. I can't go a month without it.

That magazine sounds super fab! Need to get my hands on it-thank you Caroline! xox
DeleteI'd like to be entered for the Vintage Life. I love looking at old Life magazines - I have a collection of them from the Kennedy years. I'd love to get a hold of some old Vogues or other fashion magazines - or some sewing ones. I have some old Workbaskets but they're mostly crochet. I'll bet the silent-era movie mags are great, too. Okay, I can't decide!
ReplyDeleteI would like to be entered for the Vintage Life mag! (It looks GREAT!)
ReplyDeleteI like looking at old Seventeen and Look magazines. (The new Seventeen is icky, but the old ones are great!) I also like reading today's "Reminisce." It's kind of an older person's magazine, as you could probably guess from the title, but it's full of fun stories and old pictures of real life from decades past instead of hollywood stars and models. Good inspiration!
