Hair-tastic!

This is my first official post on my new and improved Bunny blog! I hope you all like it and feel free to add my blog button on your blog if you can-there is a code on the side of my blog that you can take with you!

So on Saturday my husband and I went on our long awaited date to celebrate our ten years together  ( almost eight married). Gosh, let me tell you right off the bat that my body is a wreck! I defiantly out did myself and learned three important this for future dates, especially ones that will take place in Manhattan. First, pack a snack-because my energy levels go down on certain times of the day so a little packed snack would do me good. Second, pack lightly-I packed magazines and extra clothes to change-lesson learned. Do NOT pack a large bag because it will weigh like ten tons before the night is over! And lastly, simplify my date-I had my hair appointment all the way in the Lower East side of Manhattan, then went to Lincoln Center, and had planned to go to another event. Let's just say I went up and down about 25 flights of stairs! My legs are terribly sore and hurt from my thighs all the way down. No bueno! (not good!). Next time I will plan our date to just one place and make things very simple because well, my legs just aren't as strong as they used to be.

With that said, may I present to you the first half of my day...my Hair-tastic day that is!!! Some of you may recall last winter I made a big move and decided to have an authentic 1940's middy haircut. I figure if I am to become an authentic 1940's dame, the best place to start is the hair! Right?

Well, I grew out the hair for a year and happy I did so because I did not like it and I think I look best with shoulder length hair. Also, I feel that the cut I got was not authentic and really it was very challenging to try various hairstyles with the cute because it was so misshapen.

My friend Sara who is another vintage blogger from NY recommend me Altagracia Unisex and Arsenia worked her magic on my hair. Everyone was SO nice at the salon and I had so much fun! Even my hubby found everyone to be very nice and was happy for me. He is such a great guy to stick around while I had my haircut hehe

So, without further adieu...
This is before and after-at home and all curled up in the back by using pin curls after she blow dried it.
And here is the front! I am also with Sara from DelanceyDameVintage!

I am going to attempt a set today. I already washed my hair and will use hot rollers for my first practice session! I will be trying out these various hair styles within the next few weeks. Wish me luck! Perhaps now I will be able to tackle properly the wonderful world of vintage hair!!!

So, what do you all think? I cannot wait to try these five hairstyles out and share them with you! I honestly just want to master a few. I am not expecting to become a professional 1940's hair expert overnight hehe

Thank you all for following my new blog and I hope you continue to enjoy Bunny's Vintage Victory!!!!
