Vintage Halloween Pinups of Yesteryear: Part Deux

I remember blogging about Halloween last October so vividly. My how time moves fast! So it is  now officially October! That means there are fall activities to plan, pumpkin picking, a Halloween playdate to put together, and of course the big day-Halloween! My babies are gearing up for it and they have their costumes all ready to go. It is one of my favorite holidays and it is just pure fun in one of the loveliest months of the year.

Last October I shared with you all some Vintage Halloween Pinups of Yesteryear. I thought I would share some more since there are so many fantastic photos of pinups and starlets having fun with Halloween.

Oh my-these photos are so inspirational! Last October I said that I wanted to do a vintage Halloween shoot. I still want to....BADLY! I hope I get to do it one day!

Which photos were your favorites? Would you love to do a vintage Halloween shoot one day?

Happy October! Let the Halloween/Fall fun begin!

  1. It's fun to see how american girls can be crazy about october! Here in France, it means about nothing except the beginning of cold and rainy fall....
But for the second time in my life we are planing to do an Halloween party with friends, I have already chose my costume!

    1. Hehe I know it is def not popular in Europe and how ironic is that when many of the folklore came from there! Oh how fun is that! I would love to go to an adult Halloween party-one day! I cannot wait to see what you will dress as!! xox

  4. What a fantastic post - between it and the suddenly cooler weather we're having today, I'm even more eager than ever for Halloween to arrive! Great minds, I tell you, great vintage loving minds! A week or two ago I wrote a post for the end of October featuring photos of vintage pinups, too, so you'll be seeing some of these shots on Chronically Vintage in a few weeks, too :)

  6. It is funny how I have not checked in in a while, and then I do and it's within the hour of your newest post. Spooky, huh?! I think I am liking the Judy Garland, Joyce Holden, then Clara Bow and last and least Cyd Charisse. I like the first two because they are more focused on their faces as compared to the long shot of their bodies. The Judy Garland is the best because Halloween is about children and innocence. Innocent enough to believe in spooky ghost stories. Of course not being a vintage blogger my focus maybe different than the rest. But nonetheless that is my opinion on the subject!

  7. Dear Bunny,

you are so sweet to visit me and leave me a comment. I love comments! Thanks!

Why were women so lovely in the "Good Old Days"? (I am never sure whether the punctuation should be inside or outside the quotation makes in a case like this.)
I think it is the level of effort; today, people want everything casual and easy.

Looking forward to getting to know you.

    :) Hope
