I'm so glad you all enjoyed our sneak peak of our photo shoot with Monica Moore! Although we were beat, we ended our night with a beautiful dinner and a very unplanned horse and buggy ride through Historic St. Charles. I have only done a horse and buggy ride once for my honeymoon (we split our honeymoon between Manhattan and California) and it was so amazing! When Brittany pointed at the horse and buggy, I just knew we had to go for it and do it! You only live once, right?
The best part of the ride was seeing Brittany smiling from ear to ear! My other favorite part was getting to look at the town from a different perspective. I also found my future home and my hubby agrees with me....can you just look at that house below (to the right)! Isn't it amazing??!! We won't be moving to Missouri but gee that house is just dreamy hehe
We ate at this restaurant called Lewis and Clark's and the food was beyond heavenly! So tasty and yummy. I cannot wait to take my family next time we go and yes there will most definitely be a next time!
I did try some white wine, although I asked Brittany to finish it off for me hehe. I am such a water girl. I prefer it over anything else but it was nice to have a few sips of this delicious white wine. Gee, I must remember what it was called.
Two more days left to share about my trip and oh so many vintage goodies I simply cannot wait to show you all! And also a 100th follower giveaway coming up soon!!
Happy Friday! xox

ReplyDeleteOh I forgot his name but he belonged to the driver LOL xox
DeleteI think I'm in love with that red and white dress of yours. And I'm a water girl myself too, though I endulge in soda every day. :-)
ReplyDeleteLOL I do too very little though heheh I'm glad you like it!!! xox
DeleteOh Bunny I'm so jealous! You see, St. Charles is the town I grew up in! I've had the pleasure of eating at Lewis and Clark's on visits back. Old historic main street is one of my favorite places, although there is a lot more historic themed entertainment, etc there now, espnat Christmas, than when I lived there last in '78! Int the river impressive, too?
ReplyDeleteI'm out here in the intermountain west in a desert area now, but I still love to go "home!"
Hugs
P.S. have a White Castle for me? I've been wanting one of the things lately.
Oh how neat! I love it there-what a sweet town it is! Cannot wait to take my family one day! xox

DeleteWhat a sweetly wonderful travel post! That horse-drawn buggy ride sounds amazing! I've always wanted to go on one (hopefully some day). It touched my heart when you said that the best part of it for you was seeing Brittany smiling ear-to-ear. That's really lovely.
